Astoria Ivory Granite

Astoria Ivory is a form of Granite found in Madurai District, Tamil Nadu. Astoria granite is predominantly a creamy gold colour, which captures the eye from afar. This gold can range all the way from a slightly off-white colour to a colour that resembles wet sand. The creamy gold is mixed with darker brown spots and occasionally brown veins. The creamy gold colour, upon closer inspection, is actually infused with a light white colour that comes from the quartz crystals that are present in the stone. This gives the appearance of a slight twinkle from afar, which is a hallmark of this truly stunning stone. The dark brown veins can range in colour from only slightly darker than the golden bedrock,  right through to almost black in colour.
